Do You belong to several Social Network Sites? Many have opened in the last several years and promise you massive exposure. So Why join another one?
I have to admit, I was very reluctant to join! I had seen so many different social networking sites being promoted when they first opened up. It is so confusing, what ones do You join? Do you join one of them? All of them? What should you do?
A friend of mine introduced me to IM Faceplate during a conversation on Skype, saying he thought this site was going to be a good networking site, and I should take a good look at it. So, after a bit of contemplating, I joined, and I am so glad I did!

1. You can Join as a Free Member and use all of the functions to promote your website as a Pro Member has. One of the biggest Differences are the Points you earn viewing other members Faceplate, a Free Member earns less points than a Pro Member Does.
2. Free and pro Members can add a Photo to their profile. This is used to Brand Yourself. People like to associate a picture with a name. So, make sure you add your picture as soon as you can. Use Your picture as often as you can when promoting your website, so that others see your picture and often. They will know that you are busy promoting yourself and your product, as with this association they will gain trust.
3. All members can Add Links to their Faceplate advertising your favorite affiliate programs or businesses. Giving You Awesome Exposure to what you are promoting!
4. Each member is allowed to publish Articles for other members to read and get acquainted with you and your expertise. This one was a hard one for me as I have always been behind the scenes and had never written an Article before (or a blog for that matter, but here I am). You will be surprised as to what you have to offer and share with others, once you start to mingle and reading others Articles and posts. You can Really learn a lot about a person this way!
5. All Members can Add a spotlight. This can be graphic images promoting your website or your favorite You Tube video

6. Search and Follow Like Minded People. What better way to find like minded people. They are only a click of the mouse away! After all isn't that one of the main reasons People do Join a Social Networking Site? Get acquainted and Help the New Comers Online! We all were Newbies once upon a time. We all knew how it felt to have no clue where to go, what to do or how to do it. Helping Others is about the best feeling in the world. Remember what goes around comes around! I enjoying helping others, it brings me great joy and satisfaction. So Mingle , share ideas and ask questions, you will be glad you did.
7. Your IM Faceplate is also connected with other Social Networks: So make sure you Add your profile information for Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, or some of the others you belong to, so that your followers can follow you on other outlets also. (Your Twitter Tweets can also display on your IM Facplate.)

I have joined a few of the other social networking sites to end up being frustrated as it was hard to figure out! I have had no problem here! 12. Add a shout Out : This displays by your IM Facplate name where everyone can read it. Is there a Pre-launch you want everyone to know about? You Can shout out that you posted a new Article or Started a new Group. Maybe Share your Favorites Quotes. Pro members can schedule their shout outs ahead of time to change up to 3 times a day.
13. Pro members have a shadow box: When ever a Pro member adds a post in a group their shadow box appears providing a whole lot of exposure to your promotions. The more you post in groups the more your Advertising is being shown all around the site.
14. Since I joined IM Faceplate, I have had a steady growth of members in all of my sites. I have met a lot of intelligent like minded people here. Even with me being online for over 10 years, I have learned alot just by talking with the other members.
So, do you need to join all of the social network sites?
That is up for discussion. Some might say, the more you join the more exposure you have promoting your business and yourself.
Others might say, they just do not have the time!
I try to make at least an hour or so a day to go into my Faceplate and follow those who are following me, welcome the new Faceplate users, read a few articles and view some spotlights. I post in a few of my favorite discussion groups and update my shout outs. When I promote during the day, I sent out advertisements of My faceplate, as all of my promotions are all listed in the ONE Place! Makes it a lot easier now for me to promote. I have joined a few social Networking Sites but:
